The Art of Pressie buying!

I have always LOVE buying pressies for people.

I loved Teachers'Day and Christmas the most when i was young.
I remember when it came to buying presents, i was always the one appointed to make decisions what to buy.
I would also have school peers tagging along with me to see what i buy and from there, they pick up some ideas to look for their own unique present for teachers during Teachers'Day!

I never have the habit to share or look for other people to share a present with me.
I share only when people ask whether i wanna chip in for someone's b'dae whom i am not close with and when i feel neutral towards that person..
I also share when friends know I am getting a present for another friend whom they have no idea what to buy and they initiate to chip in.
Other than that, I don't share. cos firstly, i think it's hard for me to stick to a budget cos everyone sets different standards in terms of price tags when buying presents and often times i do want them to get what they want, maybe sometimes a lil expensive. secondly, i like my dear ones to receive presents solely from me, cos much effort and time is given when i am picking gifts for different people. everyone is unique, thus everyone's present is different!

Everyone receives pressies, i believe is special and memorable.
some pressies holds great meaning and has sentimental value.
some kinky, some heartwarming, some own-made, some unique, some practical, some cute, some luxury, some that makes your day and etc..
and presents from different friends tells you the friendship 2ofu share, how well you know each other and more.
I bet there are times you received a present and you go " oh goodness, how do you know i have been wanting this for a long time!"
Or laughing out when you see some cute pressies which you will never buy yourself and your friend got it for you and you realised how you actually love it!
or even tears welling up, touched in your heart.

I love receiving and i love giving as well!
I buy pressies for my love ones only with 2 things in my mind.
It has got to be something they really want, have been wishing for and love at a particular time.
When they receive it from my hands and opens it up, they will be happy! = )
i don't buy for the sake of buying.
I would say i am not a stingy person when it comes to buying for my love ones.
As long as it's within my means, i will get it, so long as they LOVE it, i am HAPPY!

the closest love ones to you, the harder it is to pick a pressie.
cos you only want the best for them, and thus it seems like everything is not suitable? not up to your expectations!
if buying for a bunch of kids, it is very fun and less brain-wrecking!
cos you can pick the same item at different designs that you think appeals to each kid. or if you don't really know the kids well, buy the same thing!
so long as it's colorful, bright and unusual, it attracts the kids!
young girls and boys, it's all easy under my control! Hehe...!
for my brother, very easy! he loves everything that i buy cos accessories like watches, wallets, bag and etc, i have very manly taste! *wink
i don't force myself to buy if i totally have no idea what to get for my love ones.
eg. for birthdays? either i start looking around early and if i still don't see any nice pressies i think they will love, i rather they get it later than something lousy in my expectations.

i love each and every small lil or even big pressies i receive all these years.
even if it's something really small like an elephant keychain or bookmark, i love it too!
it doesn't have to be anything expensive.
some friends told me before, they are at a lost what to buy me sometimes cos i have everything and i am someone who knows what i want when it comes to stuff like wallets, bags, accessories, watches and etc.
some friends know food will never go wrong, but it is just not something to get cos it goes straight into my stomach and gone..
i admit i am someone who never fails to think of someone whenever i use stuff that is bought by any of my love ones. so, i like things that i can use and bring around with me everyday. = )
actually, a good book, cd and other things simple is good.
if you ask me, as long as there is 用心, 什么礼物给我，都很棒！ 我会喜欢！

On 17th oct, I received a pressie so fabulous, i can't bear to use it, as usual.
it is a lil bag.
very pretty, exactly what i want!!
it is hard to get, i tried my luck when i was in Taipei, sadly to no avail. =(
that is the only accessory i like to buy and collect from this brand.
and it's..... miss adr who got it for me!

i saw this new item on the web 2weeks prior my taipei trip, i wanted to get and let adr know about it! adr bought it when she was overseas and she brought it when we went Taipei, it's even prettier than on the web, both momo and i were damn ON, to get it! Funny, buying this in Taipei! but, other people were faster! out of stock in every branch we went!

close up! the strap material is different. you can see it from the tag itself, the pink is more pvc, shiny. the purple is matte, smooth. i love both!
