The Difficult Task

Adr and I finally had one of the most difficult task checked off our list yesterday for this CNY!
The task : Getting our beau's Mum a CNY 贺礼aka festive gift.
Gosh! It was hard!
At last, we settled for this. I was at the Singapore Post wanting to post stuff after our lunch. Alamak!! Can't imagine the mailbox is chocked so full until I can't even slot in my envelope. It was like sticking out and people can easily retrieve the letters or cards. I asked Adr to see the chocked full mailbox and in the end, Adr simply lifted the handle to post Big Items and I dumped my small item in. 嘻嘻嘻。。Then she asked me to go take a look at what she spotted.

When we saw this on display, we were both nodding our heads and murmured in agreement "就是这个了。" This is it... We think this is by far the best we saw and defo appropriate as 贺礼。 We did not even procrastinate abit and went to queue right away at the counter, ready to get them.

One in 黄金aka Yellow Gold is mine and Adr's in red. Both looks nice. Comes in a nice box as well. Lucky the recycle bag was also New Moon's and in red some more! Good Luck, Prosperity whatever You call it. What else is better than this to get? New Moon has all this placed in consideration for shoppers who needs to buy festive gifts! All GooD!

See... How appropriate it looks to be given as a gift.

Finally! Settled!

From trying goodies on Monday from stall to stall at Taka fair. There were a few choices of goodies we thought was good from different stalls. But how many boxes of goodies would look nice? Unless get a hamper. I checked the hampers out at Bengawan Solo, they were expensive and certainly didn't look grand. I bought sweetheart's mum the goodies last year and simply handed her the goodies that came with the bag. Ha!
I even thought of getting a basket from DAISO and wrapping paper after I buy all those assorted goodies and wrap them up myself.
Haha! and Adr says "save the trouble lar... You can't cut a nice proper heart shape, still wanna wrap hamper."
Ya lor, skali wrap liao look more cheapskate. Then, Adr suggested to put all those goodies in a recycle bag.

To deciding to take up Jess D's idea of buying "Yu Sheng" at the Cold Storage. Since everyone takes Yu Sheng and I was reminded his grandma eats Yu Sheng too!!!
To meeting up yesterday to go check up more at the Esso station near her place. before going to Cold Storage to buy Yu Sheng. Until she spotted this when I was doing posting. Haha! Save the extra trip to check deals at petrol stations!

Next time, we know... Just check out deals at the petrol stations or post office. No need to squeeze brain juices every year. Look no further. These are the 2 places to go if You wanna get festive delicacy which every one eats and comes packed in a nice box, appropriate as a gift.. This Is it. = )
