Was out to get dinner for family close to 7pm.
While waiting for orders, I went up to NTUC to help mum get fishcakes for laksa!
Boy! I was glad the moment I see the lanes for single basket purchase was sorta clear, meaning it is not crowded!
I zoomed in straight to the fruits section, indeed shopping is a breeze tonight!
No crowd, No queues, No squeezing with people!
It's as good as having the whole supermarket to myself!
I am greedy, yep I know.. =)
From young, I always have this dream which I managed to fulfill last June.
I have always wished that I will be the last customer in the supermarket, hiding in one corner...
Before it closes, the staff either overlooked or missed me out during their final check and confirmed no one is left in the shop and talah! The rollers come down, lights are off and I will hop out, ready to party!
I will explore lane by lane, looking at the products available taking my own sweet time since I have the whole supermarket for my own. When I get tired out, I will help myself to a packet of cold drink, then some snacks! Hahahaha!
That's one crazy dream I have!
And during my Indo visit, I managed to fulfill it and it was a dream come true given to me by Momo...
I will never forget this experience. =)
When this dream came, I was not helping myself with cold drinks and snacks..
I was choosing a pair of slippers with Adr and Momo, trying on my size and choosing colors in the dark with torchlights in our hand.. *Wink
This experience so good and rare not everyone gets, I was climaxing! Pardon me!
Muahahahaha!
You know to be sneaky and yet... hahahaha!
Alright, back to where I was.. Guys guess what!? In the end, I did not come out with just fish cakes. I was hanging bags and bags of grocery shopping aka "Ba Long Long" on both my hands like accessories on Christmas tree!...

Wow! I guess this is what Mumma always nag to me about!
No doubt discount is a few cents off each time, but when one buys more and you add it up, it's actually a substantial amount!
Comes to knowing market prices for food stuff, I am definately a green horn!
But, I definately know if I want the freshest produce and simple ingredients, supermarts are the LAST I am heading!
Buying ingredients like beansprouts, yellow mee and etc, wet market is the place!
There, I can tell the vendors at how much I wanna buy in terms of cents or grams instead of grabbing ready pack ones at supermarkets where the quantity can be either too much or too little. =)
Plus simple ingredients at the wet market, the turnover is fast, thus fresh!
If we are buying canned food say tuna at wet market, the prices are then somewhat no less than the supermarts!
Hehehe....
My next goal, is to be a smart Grocer shopper so that I can buy the most groceries with the most minimum amount of money!
As most say " Stretch your dollar to the maximum" =)
