Yes! Gra*cie is back to blogosphere! HAPPY VALENTINE'S, FOLKS!~* wink*

Testing, testing o-n-e, t-w-o, t-hr..eee. Currently making some new changes to my blog, as you can see, the entire wall page has been changed to a warm PINK! Have been wanting to do some changes since last year, but I have been lazy, tired and busy to the extent I have no mood for blogging, apart from the fact that I am already dissatisfied with the old facade of my blog. Brother is free these days and giving me a hand at this, has got me active in blogging again! So, I decided to make changes a little at a time to eventually finalise my blog the way I VISUALISE it to be.. *grinS

HAPPY V'DAY,FOLKS! Not that I have a particular 'thang' for this day, where prices of almost would-be love items rises, double up or even go up to ten times the amount for flowers in this case! Eg: cost price of one stalk red rose @ 3ocents. Normally one stalk rose + baby breath or other side flowers with some matching wrapping papers @ 15SGD. On V'day, the price can be retailing @ 25 - 30SGD! And here, I am talking about buying from reputable florist, not those that you get from girls peddling with a basket in the hands with flimsy cheap plastic wrap ups, probably at 12 SGD?! Prices also vary from the number of roses used in the bouquet. 3roses bouquet can well be retailing @ 45SGD! Good money, huh? But I wouldn't want to neglect how nice the colors of the wrapping papers complement each other and how nice those side flowers can better enhance the roses in the bouquet! Pretty flowers, but certainly we can get the same at a cheaper rate normally! I am not the kind who will appreciate bears carrying a heart which says " I LOVE U" hidden with the flowers too! I love white lilies! 1 stalk lily normally can be selling at 5bucks! But, if I am gonna have one during V'day, with side flowers, wrapping papers, ribbons all nicely done up, imagine how much it will cost my partner! I love flowers definately, I love receiving flowers too, but not neccessary on this day where prices is cut-throat! If you have the time, drop by Thomson road or even Paya Lebar. There, you can take your time to admire and smell the flowers, choose for yourself the freshest bouquet of neatly bundled roses in the walk-in freezer and other exotic flowers selling at that rate you will happily pay for a few more bouquets cos it's so cheap for that quality you are getting! Plus, you have very good salespersons there who can help you and give you very detailed information on flowers for they are the ones who handle and tend to the flowers the whole day!

Ridiculous isn't it? Good for business owners making full use of couple's insanity on this day for business' profit two, three or even up to four fold! You see queues outside restaurants, cinemas, couples walking hand in hand rushing for their own line up activity and etc..

Personally, I would say I belong to saner side. Haha...! No doubt, I will prepare a gift for my other half cos I love giving. wink~ I have always enjoyed giving since young, a little something to my love ones whether it's something they need or they wish for, as long as it is within my means, I always like to make a mental note and go get it as a surprise for them! This is a trait in me passed down from my dearest Pa&Ma. They are very generous people! Ok, I am sidetracking already, back to where I was..... Besides having a gift ready, having a simple dinner is about all that I will go on V'day. I wouldn't insist on flowers nor go for fancy restaurants just so to be blindly be basked in this man-made l~O~V~E ambience like any other does. All I want is really, just genunine lovely thoughts of my partner's own to decide what we both can have and share on this day. But! He should be the one to decide, to the way he knows I will like it. hehehe... I like a man who leads, has his own mind but will ever so dotingly make way to my demands when I voice out! I can be very assertive at times! But, this is only occasionally! In short, I like a man with a BIG HEART! Never mind that, we are eating at a hot, stuffy hawker centre or simply just having our own prepared dinner watching teebie at home to spend the day away. Just wanna retreat to somewhere, we call our own.

So pals, Happy V'day! Whether with your bunch of girlfriends, with your partner, siblings or even working! For me, I will be working till that one hour before the clock calls for the next day and going home straight for supper with my cutsy brother after that! He has been my best companion for a long, long time. Patient, thoughtful, protective and spontaneous!
