As usual, my weekends are packed!
Why?
Not telling you guys! Go figure!
Anyway!

On the way home just now, Shirl and I were talking about how we like having a rooftop that is glass built so that at night before we sleep, we can gaze at the stars!(That is if there is any) Hehe!

Then it struck me, how this dream home I had since when I was a little kid, has slipped away and hid itself at the back of my mind for so many years until this discussion came up tonight and it's truly went "ding" and lighted up on my head!

I remember this particular hongkong show I watched when I was young that showed a grand house in the film and the rooftop was glass built. Those sunrays shone through the glass built rooftop and casts it's glare into the bedroom and it was beautiful..

But why this glass built rooftop house stays etched in my memory till date because.... There was this particular scene with a burgler who wanted to break into the house and while finding his way into the house by walking across the rooftop, the couple of the house at that moment was getting intimate and that made him paused and lost his main focus, eyes fixated on the woman on top of the man... Wahahaha!! and talah! when the man opened his eyes the next minute, there was the burgler in view right on top and the man shouted "burgler" and stopped all intimate acts in action to nab and rest of the show...? I only remember the man gave chase and the burgler managed to flee! Hahahaha!


Then I told myself I want a glass built rooftop house too. That allows me to gaze at stars at night before I sleep, be greeted by sunrays in the morning when I wake up and happily jump into bed and watch the rooftop on rainy days as the rain wash down in sheets and hear them play rhythemic beatings against the glass panel. I will also have a remote set up to control times when weather gets a little crazy so I won't become a grilled sausage under the sun. lol.


Everyone has a dream home they call their own, to make living a better, comfortable one. Buying home is probably the biggest purchase any local will make here. Homes, accomodation are pricey due to limited land thus homes here are built vertically commonly known as HDB and not plotted horizontally anywhere as desired.
Unlike other big counterparts of the world, land in abundance, place is huge that your neighbours are far from you that you probably wouldn't see your new neighbour maybe at least after a few months.... Kids get to move out of their parents' place as young as 18. The pros and the cons.
The children here usually stays together at their parents' place until they are ready to start their own family before moving out.
I for one, do wish I have had my own pad by 21.

Local women complains that local guys are so lacking in creativity when it comes to proposal. That I heard in my late teens. The hundred and one time used question "shall we get a flat together?" diaoz! WAIT! Not that men has to get down on his knees and ask for his maiden's hand but at least do something that catches your lady by surprise and when she is touched and caught unawares, a nod head is high chance!

Creativity and Sincerity is the way to make your woman touched and say YES! Unless she doesn't love you OR she isn't sure of you yet.

I want to own a pad too.
Glass built rooftop is not a priority.
Moving out of my parents' place and owning my own pad is.
I want a small cosy pad that has ME all over, the way I like!

My Bedroom will be what as the name suggests.. Bedroom
It will only have a big bed with inviting smooth bedsheets to lure me to bed after a long day with aromatherapy oil burning. My bedroom not only smells good, the moment you step in, it is relaxing. =)
Attached to my bedroom will be my open concept Bathroom without doors to recharge my tired soul under a big, powerful shower head that hits down on my body like a bearable lightning strike! Haha! Big mirror and strong lighting is a must to cast light on my body and face without mercy. Finally, a mini fridge will be in to keep all my beauty and skincare products that I can slap on, right after shower! =)

Kitchen!!
~ I need two fridge... One for all the veggies, meats, sauces.seasonings and dry goods. The other for drinks, fruits, desserts and etc.
~ I need a mighty microwave as I need food heated up in a jiff at times I am famished and can't wait.
~Oven for me to do some baking! Baking?!!! lol. Have I mentioned that actually I have a hidden talent to bake cakes? No matter what method is used, my cakes always rises prettily in all my Food&Nutrition lessons during high school that my teacher likes me so much for being the perfect student and often asked my fella classmates to stand behind me and watch how I whisk my eggs and sugar or even sift my flour. HAHA!
~ Slow cooker is also another need for me to 熬汤。I love soups! That I call 美艳养生汤。Oommph...

My pantry and fridge will be well loaded so I can cook my own meals and invite my lovely girlfriends over for a feast. =) Regular meet ups for steamboat and grill meats over beer? =)

There will be a wash room where I wash, dry and iron my clothes! Good ventilation is vital, I need a good flow of air to sun-air dry my clothes! Plus all these washing makes me perspires a hell lot whenever I am doing it.

Then comes my Dressing room where all my clothes, shoes, bags and accessories are kept. Wardrobes with lights without doors. So, I can pick my clothes at a glance. I need a showcase typa display cabinet to keep my watches, rings, earrings, rings and etc. That I can pick my accessories at a glance too! Dressing room is all about open concept without needing a long time to find my stuff!

Work & Entertainment will be at the Living room cos work is out of bounds in the bedroom. I have always like big screens so Tv will be ultra big! I need a sofa that doubles up like a bed because I like lazing on weekends afternoon. Then I can nua abit after household chores.

Yups! Those I mentioned are exactly what I want, MY WAY in my own pad!
