Am Dead Meat...
I started to have an interest in making my own meals last year.
I resolved not to turn to instant noodles whenever I need to fill my tummy.
After some time, when I ate instant noodle again, my taste buds didn't liked what it tasted. Artificial bubbled above my head.
It used to be my comfort love at my convenience, slurrrping down a bowl of hot soup on rainy days.
It used to be a must buy when I am out of the country to somewhere new, to see and try what are the varieties people in other parts of the world gets to enjoy.
Now, it has become a habit to skip this particular section when I do my grocery shopping.
How things changed.
It's definately change for the better and nah I am not boycotting Instant Noodles.
Especially in the past one month, I get to cook ever so often...
Till Mumma got me a Tefal cooking pan, to encourage me to cook frequently!
It's funny when You have a sense of belonging and You get more involved?
Now, I have my own cooking pan that I use for my cooking and am loving it! :D
I am oh so dead meat though....COS...
I find myself thinking about what I wanna cook next.
I find myself rummaging Mumma's fridge so often to see if the ingredients I want is available.
I find myself making a mental note to get the ingredients I need for my cooking.
I find my wallet stashed with so much receipts today but are mostly from provision shops and the supermarkets!
I find myself standing somewhere at NTUC again when it seems I was there just the day before...
I find myself helping Mumma to clear and deplete the sauces, chilli paste and etc in her fridge and then replenish those sauces I find a gem to aid in mixing my own.
I find myself very familar with the dollar$ and cent$ on the regular items I always buy and am getting more well-versed in competitive prices.
I find myself slowly building a troop of must have food warrior items in my pantry. ie: chilli padi, limes, yan sui to list a few.
Hahaha!!!
I just came back from marketing and below is the list of loot I got.
Cherry tomatoes.
Portobello mushrooms.
Streaky bacon, Sausages.
Baked beans, Hash browns.
Eggs * 30! (they finish up pretty fast lately)
Wholemeal bread.
You guys have any idea what I am making for breakfast tomorrow? =)
